1. Who we are
ShuttleJack UK is a pre-booked private hire and executive transfer service based in West Bromwich, West Midlands, United Kingdom. For questions about how we handle personal data, contact bookings@shuttlejackuk.co.uk or call 07897 064289.
2. Information we collect
When you contact us or request a quote, we may collect your name, email address, telephone number, pickup and destination addresses, journey date and time, number of passengers, luggage details, flight number, journey preferences and information you choose to include in your message. We may also keep correspondence about your enquiry and booking.
Please avoid sending detailed medical or other sensitive personal information through the booking form. If you need particular accessibility arrangements, contact us directly so we can discuss what is necessary.
3. Why we use your information
- Quotes and bookings: to respond to your enquiry, provide a price, arrange and deliver a requested journey and communicate changes. Legal basis: steps requested before entering a contract and performance of a contract.
- Business administration: to keep appropriate records, manage payments and respond to complaints. Legal basis: applicable legal obligations and, where appropriate, our legitimate interests in running and protecting the business.
- Website analytics: if you select “Accept analytics”, we use Google Analytics 4 to understand use of our website and improve it. Analytics is optional and is based on your consent.
We do not use the booking request form to add you to marketing mailing lists.
4. How the website works
Our website is hosted using Netlify, and booking requests are submitted through Netlify Forms. Technical information needed to operate and secure the website may be processed by our hosting provider. When you send an enquiry, it is submitted through the form and made available to ShuttleJack UK for handling the request.
If you agree to optional analytics, Google Analytics 4 may process information such as pages viewed, interactions, approximate location, device or browser details and online identifiers. Google Analytics is not activated by our consent banner unless you accept analytics.
Your analytics preference is saved in your browser so the site can remember it. A discreet “Cookie settings” option in the footer allows you to change that preference. See Google’s Privacy Policy for further details about Google’s handling of information.
5. Who may receive your information
We may share information only where necessary to provide the service you request, for example with a driver or transport partner helping to fulfil a journey, and with service providers supporting the website or business communications. We may also disclose information where legally required. We do not sell customers’ personal details.
6. Transfers outside the UK
Some providers used for website hosting, form handling or optional analytics may process information outside the UK, including in the United States. Where international transfers take place, the applicable data protection rules and transfer safeguards must be considered. Contact us if you would like information about how a particular service provider handles your information.
7. How long we keep information
We keep booking and enquiry records only for as long as reasonably needed to respond to an enquiry, provide the requested service, maintain appropriate records, resolve disputes and comply with legal obligations. The period depends on whether the enquiry leads to a journey and whether statutory record-keeping requirements apply. We review information and delete it when no longer needed.
Consent preferences in the current website script expire after approximately 180 days, unless you update your choice sooner. Google Analytics retention is managed through the Google Analytics account settings.
8. Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may have the right to access your personal data, ask for inaccurate information to be corrected, request deletion or restriction, object to particular uses, or request transfer of data. You may withdraw your consent for optional analytics at any time using “Cookie settings” in the website footer. Withdrawal does not affect processing already carried out lawfully before withdrawal.
For any request or concern, email bookings@shuttlejackuk.co.uk. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO): ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint.
9. Changes
We may update this notice if our services, website tools or legal requirements change. The latest version will be published on this page.
